This work was at Brighton college of art private view on Friday 3rd June. I hope to go and see it as it is exceptionally similar to the emotional stock market, but more focused on security issues with social web use. The machine prints out ‘id cards’ containing information about anyone who mentions certain words or ‘tags’ that refer to Lybia or Gadaffi. The work looks at censorship, media and ownership in the context of current politics and war. The Emotional stock market is situated with very similar concerns it utilizes the data of personal emotions rather than opinions. Josh has managed to print profile pictures on his receipts too!
