Raphael Zarka

Raphael Zarka is currently having a show at Bischoff & Weiss in town. The show is all about a Rhombus shape, its physicality and its wider cultural significance. The curious semi regular rhombas appearances in the world has been traced and recorded by Zarka, who presents a history of the Rhombicuboctahedron . From Phillips light bulbs to a large public library in eastern europe the perculiar rhombus has popped up all over the place. The extensive research into the shape is enjoyed by Zarka’s inventive documentation, prints, videos and sculptures. The exhibition felt like a museum of a shape, an archive of a obscure object.
