I must mention at how disappointed i was by the Bauhaus archive. It was like looking round some scandinavian furnishing superstore, terrible layout and only one little mention of Schlemmer and the triadic ballet performances.
However i did buy the book on Josef Hartwig’s Bauhaus Chess set. It was only a euro. And i like the idea of completly re-desiging classical objects for function and form, weather it be personal or universal.
All the pieces are logically designed as explained in my little book. However the actual set now costs over £100. Its funny how they marketes their products as an ideal Bauhaus domestic environment, i think there should be more of this. Re-designing art to be more functional in domestic and social spaces.
